OGRA Foundation currently supports 18 Government of Kenya Health facilities to implement HIV programs. As at March 2012, we are supporting HIV care and treatment for 6924 patients out of whom 767 are children. We have decentralized HIV related services to 100% of the facilities in our catchment area. In addition to this, through OGRA support, the facilities have managed to reduce mother to child transmission of HIV from 27% to 6%
Each year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. Each World AIDS Day focuses on a specific theme, which this year will be Global solidarity, shared responsibility. This year’s theme joins a growing list of challenges that World AIDS Day has alerted people to globally
